Read and Reverse-outline
The following essay is a rhetorical analysis of John Naisbitt’s The military-nintendo complex by Kathryn Williams. Describe what the author is writing in each part of the essay (what the role of each part is in that paragraph). Don’t worry about the introduction and conclusion parts. The first part is done for you as an example.

Review of Thesis Statement and Understanding Writing Prompts (20 min)
The first step one needs to take before making an outline of a paper is to write a thesis statement.
The directions given in the writing prompts (esp. the "task" section) help you decide what the main purpose of the paper is and what kinds of information should be included in the thesis statement.
Let's review the lesson on thesis statement and writing prompt (step 1 and 2) and come up with a possible thesis statement (step 3).

Homework due Thursday, Oct. 31st. 11:59PM
Download the outline template below.
