Release Statement
When you go to submit your assignment, you should see these instructions just above your instructor’s specific instructions:

All students are required to follow campus policies and procedures regarding academic integrity, which are set forth in the Student Code at Article 1, Part 4 (http://admin.illinois.edu/policy/code/). Instructors may provide information regarding specific expectations about the originality of academic work, including advice on how to cite source material. You should review course syllabi and other documents distributed or referenced by your instructor. Be sure to consult your instructor with any questions about the originality and citation standards that apply in your course. As indicated below, your paper will automatically be added to a database that includes only submissions from students at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In addition, you may opt to contribute your paper to SafeAssign's Global Database; the choice is entirely yours. For more information about SafeAssign, please see SafeAssign's answers to frequently asked questions (http://wiki.safeassign.com/display/SAFE/Student+FAQs)

As stated above, your paper will automatically be entered in a database of assignments and papers completed by students at UIUC. You also have the option to check a release statement: “I agree to submit my paper to the Global Reference Database”.

The Global Reference Database is accessible by all institutions using SafeAssign to do comparison checks. Your paper is automatically entered into the UIUC database, but you must choose to enter it to the Global Reference Database. This offers your work protection in the event a student at another university copies your paper.

Whether you add your paper to the Global Database or not, your paper will be checked for matching or similar text the same way.

NOTE: By submitting your paper to the Global Reference Database, you are also agreeing not to remove it in the future. The ownership and intellectual property rights of the paper’s contents remain your own.

Submission Guidelines
You may submit your work only once to each assignment. If you accidentally upload the wrong file, you must contact me so I can remove the file. Then you will be able to submit the correct file.

Please submit your work as only one of the following file types:
.doc, .docx, .txt, .rtf, .odt, .pdf, and .html

If your files include any graphics, each image should be smaller than 2MB.
