Type of Assignment
The original diagnostic essay writing was a way for your instructor to grow accustomed to your writing style and identify some of your strengths and weaknesses. We will now work on revising it in this first unit because being able to evaluate and improve your own writing is an essential skill for all types of writing. The 5-paragraph essay, which is the most basic type of essay, will also allow you the opportunity to learn or review the basic writing skills that we will use throughout the rest of the semester.
